Perhaps you can have the chance to test ride different bikes?
There seems to be fact that says light is no win win. Some data of aero and it is small gains on long distances holding high speed all the time.
I would say inspite of facts and testing, i would not contradict any rider or what drives them towards what they prefer. Be it light or aero.
Be it super stiff or comfortable. Garmin sharp seems to prefer rca/r over s models lately. I also agree on that i neither want a noodle or a bike that is so stiff it is beating me up.
Bikes:

Ax Lightness Vial EVO Race (2019.01.03)
Open *UP* (2016.04.14)
Paduano Racing Fidia (kind of shelved)

Ex bike; Vial EVO D, Vial EVO Ultra, Scott Foil, Paduano ti bike.

If you are looking for something different that is both very Aero and very stiff, Why not look at the Fuji SST or their new Transonic?

Coming from someone who is a sprinter, and owns the SST, I have tell you that it is a fantastic frame. Stiff, light, and definitely aero. Id have to say its one of those that doesnt get a lot of attention due the lack of presence in the pro peloton but is a real monster of a bike out on the road. Ive had a lot of my customers rave about them, as they should.
