Hi

So I have a Quarq PM on a Sram crankset mounted to my Scott Plasma 3 prem.
Scott use (as far as google goes) "Sram/Truvativ pressfit 30 bottom bracket".

Now, I'd like to move this crankset to a S-Works Venge which (according to goggle) uses OSBB.

Will my Quarq fit?

Yes. But you may need to fiddle with the spacers to eliminate play.

The Quarq you have is obviously a BB30 model (30mm spindle), PF30 is the BB30 bearings that are pushed into the BB in a plastic outer shell. OSBB is almost exactly the same as PF30 (BB30 bearing in a plastic outer shell) the difference is OSBB uses a 61mm shell width and PF30/BB30 a 68mm shell width. The OSBB makes up the extra width by having thicker cups (extra 3.5mm on each side)

Isn't the BB on the Plasma 3 BB86 primarily for 24/25mm spindle cranks?

Yeah, the Scott is a PF86. Which, probably is using a SRAM Truvativ 24/22mm set of press fits for the BB. But, that really doesn't matter, because the OSBB is a 68mm 30mm diameter BB, just need an adapter.

Check out wheels manufacturers site, they have one that will work and the spacer kit as well to put between the BB and the shell to give you the proper spacing. The OSBB is slightly narrower, so the spacer is needed, plus the proper shell BB press bearing.

eigner, can you confirm that your quarq is a bb30, not a gxp model? assuming that it's bb30 then what NiFTY says is correct and you just need some extra spacers.

There is no pre-load adjustment on the crank set, so is it a GXP model? I can't see any GXP or BB30 markings. Its the Quarq built on the Sram S950 crank set.

If it's got a 24mm hollow axle visible on the DS crank that is made of steel its GXP.

...or if it's got a 30mm axle attached to the NDS crank arm then it's a bb30.
