I am still really confused why no one makes more of a sharper angled stem than -6deg though, I've always ridden with -17 and although my neck and shoulders are thanking canyon's 1/4 steerer size I think I prefer a slightly greater drop.

Does anyone make one?

Also, where can you get the syntace stems from?

You used to be able to get them direct from Syntace I think, or Canyon as it was standard spec when I had mine.
Have you got the shallowest headset top cap or the fat one like mine?
Look hard enough and occasionally a -17 stem comes up for sale secondhand

Giant connect stem is 1 1/4 and -10.

If anyone has a line on a 100 or 110, -17 please let me know.

How much does the V13 stem weigh? Wondering about the weight saving.

Longest I've seen is 100mm -20deg.

Cheapest 1 1/4 stem you can buy at the moment is Giant OD2 which is £24.99 in UK and its 8 deg

I quite like the square-y look of that. I am getting one and will take off the graphics using acetone.

Does anyone know what that Giant OD2 stem weighs in at? (90 or 100mm?)

Can't understand why Canyon haven't make easier choose stem lengths/angles when you order,
My 52 came with 80mm 6° stem I had to pay an extra £78ish I think for a -17° 100mm stem (I wanted 110 but no stock)
they wouldn't just exchange it as -17° was a special order, so I had to have both, Canyon really limit your choices when it comes
to fit by using 1¼ steerers (pre-cut with a max 15mm spacers) and the 16mm Acros adjuster under the stem (£25 well spent to get rid of that)

Eventually found a -17° 1¼ 120mm Ritchey on eBay, after using a Syntace F119 120mm for a while
getting rid of the Acros adj and using the flatter top cap lowers stack by another 12mm

Weights are- Ritchey 80mm 121g, -17° 100mm 127g, 120mm -17° 141g
Syntace F119 149g (with Cube branding)
Also just got a Zipp SL beyond black 120mm -17° for another bike, Ti bolts and 150g

^ whatever he said; it doesn't make sense; I think the Giant OD2 is not too bad at £24.99 to fiddle with stem length and then spend on C260 or something.

What is the alternative to the 16mm i-lock bearing cover? I rode with someone on Sunday who just went with a custom made top bearing cover and a 1 1/8 expander bung with inner tube wrapped around. The crown race and lower bearing interface with canyon's is machined really well so its pretty secure tbh. Seemed like an ok cheap solution for low stack headset cover.

Great post, thanks. Didn't know that 120mm -17° OD2 stems existed and will look harder!

Canyon still sell the lower headset bearing cover just 4.75mm high, the kit comes with a top cap and wedge
even if don't need to lower your stem one of these +10mm spacer looks better than that Acros thing,
you can then adjust the stem with an allen key instead of that tiny little torx screw and you can take the wedge out
after to save a bit of weight as the fork steerer doesn't need one for strength as most other forks do.
