I like my SLR! Light and stiff. I also traveled a lot with it and no issues far.
The tune wheels, which I do not ride, seem to be not stiff at all. I would sell them immediately
and get a stiffer wheelset.

I use a Cane Creek Aer headset since it came out in 2009. (See this topic: http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=61381&start=15) Once dialed in, no maintenance and no problems. I replaced the glide bushing once. That said, use whatever headset you want to use.

That's a crackhead price!

Was looking around for prior discussion on the SLR10 - my local dealer has 58cm for $7,499 with a $1,000 additional store credit.. If I could get Aeolus wheels, non integrated bars, and a Bontrager XXX saddle...then I still couldn't afford it, but it'd be easier to justify as an everyday ride. Not sure those would add that much weight anyway?

jeffy wrote:@oldnslow - does the longer seatcap come as standard with the larger sizes?
My frame is a 56cm. Since it was a Project One build I ordered the longer (170mm) seatpost at no additional cost.
