I'm wanting to reconfigure my 6870 Di2 wiring, placing the "A Junction" up on the top of the seatpost, under the seat.

In doing so, I will have a "B Junction" hidden inside the handlebars.

There would only be a single wire going to the "A Junction" on top of the seatpost.

My questions are:
1) Can the "A junction" be placed anywhere in the system?
2) OK to connect 'A' into the system with a single wire down to the "B junction"?
3) OK to have multiple "B junctions" in the system?

My thinking would be that 'yes', all of this would work, but wanted to throw out the questions before I spend a few $ on some different length cables and add'l B.

I wonder whether it expects the shifters to be on the other side of the A junction for the adjustment mode to work. You could always just rearrange your existing system off the bike to try. You can definitely have as many B's as you want.

This sounds interesting. Can I ask, how do you plan to connect the two shifters to the b-junction if it is inside the handlebars (assuming you're going to slide it inside one of the bar ends)? Are you going to drill an exit hole in the bar for the downtube cable?

I'm going to be using Bontrager XXX Aero bars, which have manufacturer provided holes for the cables. I'll insert the 3 cables into the B junction before I slide the whole assembly into one end, then fish each cable out their appropriate holes. (I'm getting ready to switch from my current bar/stem setup for unrelated reasons.)

I did see a photo in this years Tour de France TT bike tech of a bike that had the A junction tucked up on top of the seatpost. Very neat and tidy. Couldn't tell what they did on the wiring though.

I've got multiple B junctions wired into my TT system to allow moving the A junction. Can't say for 100% certain that the road shifters can be plugged into the B junction first, but about 99% certain that what you want to do will work.

I actually have 4 B junctions in my loop to move wiring around.

That would be really neat. Please update if you manage to make it work.

Has anyone tried sticking the 5 port a-junction inside the handle bar with internal routing? So that no junction will be sitting outside. Will it even fit?

Then junction A relocation worked. I have it tucked neatly under the saddle now with a single wire going to it and down in the top of the seatpost to a junction B.

Will post some pixs in a week or so, after I receive and install the bars and hide the junction B inside.
