I have an FSA BB30 bottom bracket that comes with a wave washer, and I'm going to be running it with an SRAM Red Exogram crank. Since the crank has a preloader built in, do I still need to use the wave washer?

I have this setup on a FELT DA2 and we do use the wave washers. I think it helps keep the cranks in place.

I don't use the wave washers in mine. Instructions not terribly clear, but that's how I read then!

I guess I'll try it with the washer. It goes on the drive side, right?

If the non drive side has the threaded preload assembly then you should not use a wavy washer.

Sorry to kick this topic. I have also a exogram crank and i'm wondering if you need to thighting the bolt till there is no space between the BB and crank or just thight it to 48 Nm?

Just tighten it to the recommended torque.
Take out any extra play with the preload nut and tighten the set screw.
Do not use any wave washers.

GXP and BB30 are quite different systems.
