Hi all,

I'm sure this topic has been covered previously but haven't been able to find a thread that includes clear instructions.

I have a Deda MNLink seat post as per the below link and I'd like to remove all the manufacturer logos. I'd like to end up with a matte finish plain carbon post. is that possible and if so what is the process?

Thanks in advance for your help.

1. Grab a piece of waterproof sandpaper, I like 240 personally.
2. Fill a bowl with water.
3. Dip the sandpaper in the water.
4. Start sanding down the logo's
5. While sanding down, clean the sandpaper and seatpost from dust, so you can see the progress.
6. Stop when the logo's are gone and you have a smooth finish.
7. Repaint is probably needed to make the seatpost fit again.

It's not that hard...

Are the Deda logos under a clear coat of any sort? If not, why not try acetone first? They should just wipe right off. You would only need to use sandpaper if there was a clear coat/finish of some sort.

Good point 53x12.

Has anyone else had any experience with trying to remove decals from current generation Deda products?

I'm not too handy with the DIY but from what I can tell it looks like the decals might be under a thin layer of matte clear coat.

it's really easy
wet sand with fine sandpaper
respray with clear coat
