I have a BMC GF01 with tapered fork and FSA headset. The headset has a tall headset cover. I have no spacers under my stem and would like to lower the stem just a few mm. The headset cover is huge, and I would like to replace it with a lower one, preferably UD carbon.
Can I just use any 1 1/8 inch headset cover? Do I have to measure something?

Headset covers and conical spacers come in variety of base external diameters, so measure it to make sure it will fit your bike's headtube.

Just checked my parts bin and found 3 headset covers. All have a different size :( So far for standards... Found this online:

If anyone knows what size the BMC GF01 headset is, please let me know. Will have to measure it if I can't find the size online :'(
