Please allow me to step into this thread. For full disclosure: I am the founder and owner of Kogel Bearings.

We developed a bottom bracket specifically to fit a Shimano or GXP crank on the BB30A without any use of adapters.
it is available through our webstore. This forum does not allow me to post a web address due to our newly made account. You will find us quickly with a google search or at kogel dot cc.

If you have any questions, I will be available through email at info atkogel dot cc

Best regards,
Ard Kessels

have been using c-bear Synapse bottom bracket for gosh almost a year now. Been using their osbb-campagnolo since 2012, solid as a rock. They are the first one to come out with a no creak bottom bracket solution for campa users. Look like they have a bottom bracket for all sorts. Very happy. Send them an email, quick reply and patient with questions. Pleasure to buy from them.

It looks like the "instanity" is a bit reduced as now the Evo joins the Synapse with BB30A.

What's the situation with adapters to run 24mm cranks?

Might be the ticket? Is the spindle a standard 24 or is it "special" like the GXP and has a quirk to it?

There's BB30A on the CAAD12 as well, but I'm going try running the SRAM Red BB30 crankset with it's standard short spindle (the BB30 Force has a longer spindle and goes into BB30A automagically) ( ). I just removed the preload adjuster to get that additional 5mm I needed.

I second Kogel and there is c-bear too:

Is rotor 3d24 compatible with standard shimano BBs? If it is then there is BBInfinite too:

both are fine for CAAD12, (42 mm) but not for S6 Evo HM 2016 (PF - 46)

the latter gets my vote because the left and right sides are connected

Dura ace 9000 with Dura Ace Crank
Vs
Dura ace 9000 with Hologram/Spidering

One of these didn't quite work as well as the other, but i can't remember which.... anyone help?

This is crazy! I just checked and kogel and c-bear indeed has different BB30a bottom brackets for the CAAD12/Synapse and S6 HM. I wanted to go with bbinfinite for my future HM S6. It seems they don't have that BB.

Hi, How's your experiment on SRAM RED BB30 crank on CAAD12 BB30A? I'm goona do it if there's good news on your project.
