The COSMIC decals on my Mavic Cosmic Carbone SLR's have started to look a bit tatty at the edges, and I can't say I've ever been entirely happy with them anyway, they're a little bit ott for me. What would be the best way to remove these decals without damaging the wheel? I've used a warm hairdryer for this sort of thing in the past except that was removing them from metal which can easily take the heat. I've seen quite a few of these without decals but they might be earlier versions with none to start with.
Many thanks in advance.

Don't be to afraid
The warmth of the hairdryer will not do much to the carbon of the rims. Heat the stickers, one at a time, and then peel them back and pull slowly and gently. remove sticker residue with some white spirit.
good luck!

I took the decals off of my Cosmics, and it wasn't that bad of a project.
The decals came off in two layers, and after I peeled the top layer off, I used Goo-Gone to remove the residue. I also used a plastic scraper, to speed up the process. No scratches in the carbon, and the look pretty good all black!

I have used carbo lift for removing decals. It works well for that purpose.
