My Edge (old Enve) 25 rear wheel cracked, and I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to replace them with. They were 1,008g for the set (Sapim CX-Rays and DT240s), so I'd like the replacement set to be around the same weight and durability. They'll be daily riders.

My primary complaint about the Edge rims was that the braking performance was noticeably less than my Reynolds 46's. The gap was even more significant in the wet.

So, should I just go with MV32s or are the new Enve 25's using a new braking surface over the 2010 models? Any other rims to consider?

Xentis? No personal experience, but they get great reviews for braking.

They now sell the rims separate to some wheelbuilders. I have some coming in, but for a disc build.
