So I have had older model of this SLR carbonio (non Flow) on my previous xc bikes which has tight joints between rails and surface and now I got one for road bike as well, but it's Flow version and newer model which have different rail connection in front.

Should this joint be completely tight or there should be tiny movement when saddle flexes?

Got an SLR Team with the same rails. That area is filled in, no movement there.

Thanks for info. Actually it doesn't move that noticeable, but when I try to twist the rails or flex the saddle surface it tends to creak from that connection.

I guess it's not filled enough- will see our local carbon guru tomorrow, hopefully can fix it with some epoxy or something.

Mine had the same issue and broke when I passed over a speed bump. It was replaced under warranty but dont use it like that, make sure to fix it if it is not covered by warranty anymore.

I was planning on getting one of these. Any chance you could post a close-up pic of the two saddles so I can see what we are talking about? Or at least of this one?
Thanks. Too pricey to buy stuff that is showing up with QC issues...

Flow version is current SLR model and the other one is previous model:

You can see that current model doesn't have much space in there to fill with epoxy. Also newer model rails coming to front nose are much thinner and flow saddle's surface flexes more itself so there is more chance for this connection to come loose.

The older SLR has been abused on my XC bikes for 3 years now and still does it's job perfectly.

My 2014 SLR Team also has a gap at the same spot. I was slightly concerned, but haven't noticed any creaking so far. But I've only done 2 rides on it so far.

Got it fixed by our carbon guru- filled with very fine epoxy. No more creaking and feels really solid now.
