Ok
So I've got 2 x TCR's
As per my signature.

A 2012 Advanced SL ISP in M/L
And a 2013 Advanced. Also M/L

Side by side, they looked slightly different. So I took some measurements.

Now the giant site states identical sizing and geometry for these two frames (hence the reason I have both, to train and race on same)

170mm head tube
570mm top tube.

After measuring, I've found the ISP frame actually has a 185mm head tube, as per a large frame. But has an identical top tube to the non ISP frame.

Odd.

The geometry of the TCR ISP strangely matches the DEFY ISP frame which has the 185mm head tube, but this would be extremely strange for Giant to miss this in QC.

I've got 2 small TCR advances, one is an SL 0 ISP and the other is a team, both headtubes are identical at 135mm.

Can the op post a picture of the TCR ISP ?

But isn't the seat cluster markedly different between TCR ISP and Defy ISP? Perhaps they ran out of correct sized head tubes and didn't think anyone would ever buy two of them and so spot the mistake?

I'll post pictures later.

I have a defy advanced too and the TCR SL ISP is markedly different.

It's very strange.

The ISP must have been custom built whose name is on the top tube ?

That is very strange. I have a M/L TCR Advanced Sl ISP, just checked the head tube and it's bang on 170mm. I would contact giant UK with the frame serial number, you could get a new frame out of this. Worst case is you have a copy, where did you get it? Although I have not heard of TCR copies, usually Italian frames. Good luck with this, keep the forum informed.

I bought it used from a good friend. He bought it new from a Giant store if I remeber rightly.
If it's a copy, it's DAMN good!!

I've emailed Giant to see what they think.

Have you taken any other measurements, other than HT and TT? The most plausible thing that comes to my mind is that they put a wrong label on a frame.
"Nothing compares to the simple pleasures of a bike ride," said John F. Kennedy, a man who had the pleasure of Marilyn Monroe.

Double check the TT measurement of the ISP.

I've taken measurements off the picture and got within a couple of mm of 585 (no pun intended).
I think Ypsylon could be right about the incorrect label(s). Does it have more than one label (BB etc)?

Also the stem looks shorter on the ISP? To get a similar reach?

Please keep us updated...I am REALLY curious to know the outcome.

Best of luck figuring it out.

HT and TT are the only measurements listed on the giant site.

From the centre of the HT to the centre of the seat tube is where I gathered both measurements.

There are no size labels on either frame bizarrely.

The ISP HAD a shorter stem but now has the same as the advanced (110mm)

I meant re-measure the TT yourself.
