Fixed my problem with 11 speed on a 10 speed freewheel

I let the machine shop to cut off 1mm of the Ultegra 11s cassette and now it fits perfectly on 10s freehub.

That's a 28T cassette ?
Do note that it will not work with some wheels once you have a 25T to cog. And it will not work with a most wheels if its a 23T. As the rivet flanges might hit your spokes or your RD might do that on the largest cog too.
Be careful when you attempt to do the same with cassettes smaller than 28T.

Cool... but best to take off more (at least 1.85mm) and use thin spacers to fine tune.
I'm amazed that no one is doing this commercially... yet. The machine shop can probably crank these out in no time.

So the reality is that without changing the hub, you can take the 1.85mm off the back of the cassette or the hub.
One is a do once job, but may ruin the hub, the other is do each cassette change, but worst is that the cassette gets buggered.

For me, the dilemma is that with the CM MTB Disc hub I am using (HDWR-3), I can get an SRAM XX1 or Shimano 10sp freehub only, but with the road hubs (non disc), they do the 11sp freehubs .
It's hard to get suitable info to see what the difference between the two is.
Will have to have a closer look at the options.

I thought Ultegra 11 carriers were carbon, that looks like alloy?

I switched out the Tune axel and cassette body with a White Industries axel and body,. Using an axel cap from the Tune, a couple of the washers in between the cassette body and hub, and a small piece of carbon tube I now have my RZR 92's legit 11 / 12 speed. All for under $175 USD
