I've seem some discussion of this on the net, and a bit here, but nothing definitive on exactly what I'm looking for.

The bearings in my front hub have more of a slip-fit than a press-fit into the housing. They don't fall out on their own and there is no "slop", but I can easily press them in my hand. I'd like to be able to replace the bearings fairly easily in the future (would rather avoid having to heat up the hub to remove bearings). What is the best choice for retaining compound? Is loctite 680 overkill? What about 641, 660, 609? I see that the loctite "do it right" document even suggests "blue" 243 threadlocker will work as a low strength retainer. Also, which primer is appropriate?

Thanks, any reason to choose between the two besides price and what's available nearby?
