Recently the board software has been updated and there are some known bugs/failures:
- Avatars are currently not being displayed ✔ FIXED
- Tapatalk connection is currently broken ✔ FIXED
- Avatars cannot be uploaded ✔ FIXED

Please note that we will soon do some changes in WW board template design in case to get a fully mobile/desktop responsiveness board!

I have a pair of Specialized Expert road shoes. They're white and about a year old. One of the pieces of material that runs around the toe box, and back to the boa tie, is starting to turn pink.

Is this a common issue?

If that doesn't come out I'd be trying to get a new pair through warranty.

My shop said it's not structural, so there's nothing to warranty.

It doesn't come out. I've tried a number of cleaners/chemicals and nothing budges it.

I certainly won't get white again, but I wish I bought Sidi shoes to begin with.

Take them to a local Specialized dealer or call consumer customer service. I'm confident they will be warrantied.

SLCBrandon - Thanks. My local dealer is the one who said it wasn't structural - so they couldn't help. A few minutes ago I left a voice mail with Specialized CS.

I may be in touch, and thanks for your help.

Update: Specialized CS was very easy to work with and they're going to replace the defective shoes. I'm pleased with their prompt service.

looks like it was placed against a wet red dyed material. possible that the red dye transferred onto the shoe? i've had that happen before when putting wet jersey or towel that's colored along with white plastic material. just a thought.

Agreed. The speed with which they resolved this issue was quite good, I'm a bit surprised - pleasantly.

Not in this case. Even if it were a dye transfer issue, it would go beyond one specific panel, especially in to the mesh toe area (which is a cloth material).

try mr clean magic erase. There are few things that it has ever failed to clean and whiten. And if it doesn't work, u tried a 3$ product and it didn't work.

Could it be from the inside of shoe covers? The inside of my Endura booties are that sort of orange/red colour.

If you want to try cleaning it - isopropyl alcohol may work - it's the same stuff they used to clean tape recorder heads with.

I tried acetone and a few other chemicals, it doesn't budge. And no, I don't normally use harsh chemicals to clean my shoes, just soap and water.

These shoes have only seen toe covers, not full shoe covers, which don't really touch the bulk of the discolored areas.

The CS guy at Specialized speculated that it could have been UV related. I asked if it was common, he said it wasn't. It may very well be a fluke.
