Hello, i was wondering that am i the only guy who has spotted the new buttons on the shimano 9071 levers on the top?
I cant find anything about them from the web and have tried to connect it with PC interface and the dont show anything with it too.
Has anybody occurred the same thing or has some info about the buttons?

Button itself is located under the lever rubber

Right side, missiles.
Left side, guns...but I heard they can be programmed either way. ;)
Seriously, i was told the buttons were for Shimano's Flight Deck control that never quite materialized.
I could have been told wrong though.

Yeah, for changing pages on Flight Deck computers. 7800 had buttons in the sides that do the same thing. Maybe in the near future, Garmin will update their software and it will be compatible with Shimano's new Ant+ sensor so we can use the buttons to change pages or start and stop the timer all while seeing the battery life and gear position.
