I'm curious about this as well.

The Altore has a great weight, but why the hell are they so damn expensive??

I had bought tiso compact front derailleur finaly and ....it doesn't work correctly in 'stock' version because as shifter only have big and small chainring position , the chain touches the derailleur in low or high position according your adjustment
so I had machined the inner plate in order to increase the distance between the 2 plates by 0.8 MM.
now shifting is very good
after machining , installing carbon and titanium screws , it is now 53 gr
I certainly will machin carbon outer plate to save 2 gr again in the futur
