I'm looking for a good source for some carbon fibre tubing
I need either 8mm * 200mm or 10mm * 200mm

Anybody know of anything? I'm guessing kite shops are best?

I use these guys....http://www.allproppedup.co.uk/

They have a sister company listed on the site that sells high modulus tubes as well.
They also sell resins, finishing membranes and all sorts of other useful stuff.

they seem good but a 5m length only when I require .2m seems a bit silly.
Also the postage cost makes this a bit prohibitive. I'm only using this for a thru-pin on the seatpost and the two yokes.

Would also be worth trying hobby shops. Carbon tubes and rods are used a lot in model aircraft.

If you go on their sister companies website, you'll see they sell by the metre.

That's intrigued me, do you know who is running it now? I ask because we were friends with the former owner of the company for many years but he passed away and as far as I'm aware his offspring didn't want to take over the business. I guess that they must have managed to sell it as a going concern?

I was at a meal with Ian from Sabbath bikes and he was discussing carbon tubing being supplied by House of Hardy the fishing rod people from Alnwick, I think they have a sideline company. Maybe worth giving them a ring. I was more into MTBs then so not as iterested in carbon.

Stephen, I'll be sending down a Cube Litening frame for you to look at soon if you have time. You did some super work for me on my FFWD wheels back in the spring.

Please do send the frame down to us, I'm sure that we can find the time :D

(probably best to wait until the new year!)
