However they give you an "A" distance - to the seat lock- which is meaningless
and they do not give you the distance to the virtual horizontal top tube that represents
a frame size for anyone who favors bike riding to playing tennis.

This is an attempt to crumb cycling population into three frame sizes only, XC being a nod to Japanese market :D .
Thus the 80mm stem which is on $4000 frame is like stringing your carbon Yonex racquet with fishing line.

the virtual tt measurement is there, "C" on the geo chart.

the medium size is damn close to my ideal frame size. shame they'll be way out of price range.

No shiz! That shot is pretty amazing. I'd love to know a little more about how it's manufactured.

Impressed with the internal appearance. Gheez...compared to my Scott Foil...looks like it was turned inside out after it was finished. Inside is as nice/better than the outside w/graphics.

I agree, the inside should be the outside. Almost got a snake skin look about.

would love to see a frame weighed to verify weight. 650g is mighty low!

Some weights at this blog post by a bike shop worker/owner in Niigata: http://blog.goo.ne.jp/fins-blog2_1980/e ... 699491b4cd

XS size frame weight including FD hanger and RD hanger = 665 g
Front fork weight uncut = 325 g

XC-665g? I thought only Italian grams are heavier than American grams.

The S size frame was also measured here: http://elevencycle.blog35.fc2.com/blog-entry-205.html

They said S size frame (I assume including RD + FD hanger) = 710 g

Considering that its less than 3% off the claimed weight, its pretty remarkable by any standards for composite components.

It would be be within +/-0.5% once you take out the FD and RD hangers.

O.k., so what the heck, I navigated a web form in Japanese (of which I know zero) to inquire on the Yonex website, and after struggling with how to enter my name in full-width Katakana (the solution was to leave it blank, which worked), and drop down menus and buttons in Japanese which Google translate did not translate.

Dear Mr./Ms. <HammerTime2>

Thank you very much for contacting YONEX.

As for your inquiry, we are afraid that the CARBONEX sports bike frame is only available in the Japanese market at the moment.

We are sorry that we didn’t meet your expectation this time.

Thank you very much for your understanding.

Best regards,

Looks like a great frame, awful graphics though, buy it, strip it and put a vapour coat of paint on, you will have a 730g frame will all hardware, and some significant savings over any other sub 750g frame..

Where's the geometry chart? (better yet -- link it here).

Hammertime linked it on the previous page. One of the most complete geo charts around.
Unfortunately they've let themselves down a bit on the geometry front.

The stack-reach chart is absolutely perfect. Thanks!

It's a remarkably tight geometry range. Clearly the focus is on the Japanese market.

I'm surprised they're using decorative weave on the tube interiors. It would seem that would reduce STW somewhat.
