Currently riding a CAAD9 and I'm thinking about making the jump to a carbon bike with Ultegra Di2. Here are the bikes I'm looking at right now (all around $5k USD):

    BMC SLR02
    Cervelo S3
    Cervelo R3

Test rode a 2014 SLR01 today and that felt really good, so I'm thinking that the SLR02 isn't TOO different. Any other bikes you guys would recommend around this price point? Any good *bang for the buck* type bikes this year?

BH Ultralight RC Ui2. The BH America website hasn't been updated for 2014 yet but I believe it should be very similar to the 2-13 model as the frame has not changed for the new year.
I had the RC Frame before upgrading to the higher end ultralight and there is no noticeable difference in ride only on the scale. Very nice and stiff race bike, with a superbly comfortable rear end. May be a stretch finding a dealer depending on where you live, but certainly worth the effort to test ride one.

This year's S3 is one hell of a bike. I don't have that kind of cash, but I'd lean that way

I'm in a similar boat as you. I'm hoping to switch from my CAAD10 back to carbon. I'm currently eyeing up the Fuji SST 1.3, it retails for just of 4k and I think it would be really similar to the CAAD, aggressive and stiff!

S3 w/ 6870 best bike of the year, hands down... Aero is everything and S3 delivers sexy styling, plus a killer stock build... Do it.
At least ride it...

btw, I'm a cannondale lover, so.. that's a big compliment.

I've got a 2014 R3. The bike cooks and is a joy to ride. The new tube shapes give you some aero benefit too.
