Selle San Marco Aspide Carbon FX Open Saddle for Cipollini
Moderator: robbosmans
Hi,
I'm considering one of these instead of my usual SLR Kit Carbonio, has anyone got a photo of their bike with one so I can get a better idea what they look like fitted.
Thanks
Dougan

Hard to find pictures of the saddle when I bought it. I have the version before the one you posted.

How about these two?
The first is their Superleggera and the second is a Carbon FX. The Superleggera has definitely been replaced / updated and I think the same has just happened to the FX.
Isn't the SLR a flat saddle? Flat never worked for me, but this Aspide shape has been roses.

Thanks, that Cad10 looks fast.
The saddle has recently been updated and I was hoping to get some pics of the new model. Can't be many owners yet.
It only weighs 121g so is definitely a WW option. I'm looking for something very low profile so I can cut as little as possible of my new Cipollini RB1000 seatmast.
I'm trying to get hold of an original shape SLR Carbonio but this is proving difficult.

Watch eBay soon for deals in Sella San Marcos saddles from Taiwan.
Wonder if those are the new open model for 2014 stolen? I really like that new one TS posted.

Concor carbon fx is also nice and fairly light @ 135gr.
Mate, that Concor is a sharp looking saddle! Really nice looking bit of kit.
Anyone got any feedback on the feel? Has it got any padding (one of my issues with the old Aspide was the bruising on my sit bones for a few weeks at the start)
The old Aspide was like sitting on a stone at first!

I have the 2012 model Concor Carbon FX and it's the best saddle I've ever ridden. Everyone who has hopped on my bike uses an SLR on their rig, and loves the slightly raised tail on my saddle. It has just the right amount of padding.
My 2012 was advertised as being 160 grams, so if they indeed made the saddle lighter, I hope the level of padding is unchanged.

Long live the horizontal top tube, standard crankset, and Italian threaded bottom bracket.
I think the Concor will look better. Photoshop anyone?
