It all depends on how much seatpost you have showing. I have a Dean Ti post that's been on several bikes now. When I have it on the mtn bike, its very flexy and absorbs some of the trail imperfections. Stick it on a road bike with half the amount of post showing and it feels like any other post.

Categorically saying 'it doesn't make a difference?' Not so fast there Turbo!

The seatpost comes from the distributor here. If i do get it it will be the bob version. right now they only received a few 27.2mm regular version.

here are the weights for the hardware.

craddle. pretty light. Not much to do unless you go with carbon craddle. In comparison, the superzero craddle is 28.6gr.

yokes. here we could save around 15gr. going with pop yokes, but there would be some modifying to do because the front bolt is a special bolt with manual adjustment. In comparison the superzero yokes are 29.5gr.

here are the bolts. I'm sure you could save some by using regular titanium bolts. In comparison the superzero bolts are 19.6gr.

and here is the post with no hardware. Its 350mm so by cutting the excess should save some weight. The superzero post is around 105gr, but is 335mm long.

I bought mine from ribble, doesn't seem to be in stock anymore! Guess I would just keep an eye out. :|

Just got mine. 190gr for 31.6 version. Not as light as I was hoping.

I used this post with a carbon braided aliante with no issue. I switched to a kium aliante and the saddle is slipping back. I troqued at 8nm. Anyone knows the torque rating for the back bolt ?

I wrap my rails with hockey tape and torque to 5nm and don't have slippage anymore.

Can the Italian flag decal be removed? Are they stuck on and lacquered over?

Thank you.

Hello - I'm considering this post. How have you all gotten on with it?

I want to remove the red text from it - is it possible (and easy!)?

The deal breaker for me is that the SuperLeggero only has 12mm of setback as opposed to 21mm for the SuperZero...

^yes, I wish I had paid more attention when I bought the superleggero. The 21mm setback on the superzero would be preferable. Its ok as is, but my saddle is pretty far back.

Has anyone managed to replace any of the hardware with titanium? How about the yokes?
