I am looking to install a new Ultegra 6870 Di2 mini-group. I would be running it with a Dura-Ace 7900 crank.

My question/slight concern is I would like to use a SRAM 1190 cassette (partially because of some of the negative reviews on the Dura-Ace 11 speed cassette).

Any reason the 6870 would not 'play well' with an 1190 cassette?

recommendations on 11 speed chains for this setup?

Thanks...Di2 newbie.

A Sram cassette will work perfectly with that setup.

For a chain I would go with either of the Shimano offerings or a KMC.

I switched from Shimano ultegra chain to KMC DLC. Seems a little quieter on shifting, but no complaints on either chains.

Should work fine. I'm currently using 9070 with a SRAM 1190 and KMC X11SL chain.

Only issue I've seen using the 1190 cassette with the DA chain was very noisy, rattling sound, when shifting. Otherwise quiet, just when shifting. If you're going with that cassette get a SRAM or KMC chain.

Thank you for the replies. I'm probably going to start out with an Ultegra chain after all based on some pricing I'm getting.
