I'm thinking about getting USE summit bars http://www.use1.com/use-hardware/handlebars/road-handlebars/summit-carbon and race stem [url][http://www.use1.com/use-hardware/stem-and-headset/stems/url] for my next bike. Anyone one here got any experience of using either?

I've used the USE Race Stem (31.8mm/80mm/8 degrees) for several years, both for road and MTB. I would say that for stiffness it's much on par with a Thomson 4X, but I really prefer the finish of the USE, it's just much nicer and a lot cooler. Absolutely zero issues with either carbon or alu steerers (unlike Hope stems that are prone to sliding on smooth surfaced alu steerers for instance).

It's not my all time favourite stem, but if I were to build a bike to last me the rest of my life, the USE stem would be on it.

Stem to last a lifetime - perfect! The next bike is going to be my retirement bike (due to be pensioned off in January). Thanks.
