Hello

i'm thinking of replacings the Veloflex Extreme i've been runing for the Winter, for Schwable One 24Cx700, anyone is riding them.???

That will be more 120g, but if i gain any advantage in stability, Puncture resistence and confort, that's Ok by me.

Any thoughts or Reviews.

Let me know.
Regards
Nuno

Did you find the Extremes prone to punctures?

In about 4000km, riding them, Puncture 2un - allways rear wheel (nothing that Stan's notubes didn't solve), and the rubber on the rear wheel came out on a third unit.

Veloflex replace the last one under warranty - great guys.

To me they are the best tubular tyre i ride, But the roads here in Portugal are very bad at least in my zone, to many holes, and bad pavement.
So that's the reason for wanting to go from 22c to 24c.

Well,
Just did the 1st ride 24c tubulars and here the impressions:

1st - ride quality being a 24c tubular is great, very comfortable on par with the extremes they replace.
2nd - ride quality on bad roads it's far superior to the extremes, that are thinner, but that was expected.
3rd - holds air better than the extremes, that three days later were almost empty.
4st - construction is very very good.
5ft - stability in high speeds of 70km/h was very good and inspired confidence.
6st - the bad they added 100g to my bike, that weighs now 6180g.

Didn't ride in wet so no impressions in this department.
So if anyone interested in 3 veloflex extreme (2un light use + 1un new MP me)

How wide your 24 measures?
I got 28 and put it on the old narrow Mavic rim to stretch. It measures 26,5mm.
Air loss is about 20psi within 12hrs.

EDIT: pumped it to 8bar and then its width is 28mm

Does anyone have any details around the actual sizings of the 24 and 26mm sizes? Currently running clincher 25s Ones and they're fab so it's time to give the tubulars a crack also.

Thanks!
