'WInterise' an S2 for the Exmoor Beast

I'm doing the Exmoor Beast in a week on my Cervelo S2 and it's likely to be a slimy wet affair as it's history dictates. I am going to bung on a raceblade or SKS guard on the rear but wouldn't mind putting on a raceblade up front but there isn't enough clearance. I'm not averse to a homemade solution if anyone has an idea, failing that I will just suck it up. Any thoughts appreciated. Clearly the S2 isn't an ideal winter hack but it's comfortable to me and I love it.

You could try the Crud Roadracer:

They're pretty compact/slim. I've used the same pair on a singlespeed commuter for two years and an old Trek before that and have been very happy with them. Clearance under the fork crown will depend on how chunky a tyre you run and appreciate my experience was not with an S2. Looks like some positive experiences on this Cervelo forum:

Another option might be to strap something to the downtube as a partial solution. Instant air brake:

If you don't have any clearance under the fork crown...
You could fairly easily DIY a bracket like the one below. Mount it to the fork brake you could bond to half a fender for use over the top of the wheel and use downtube mounted guard for a little protection there.
