I have 2009-vintage Cannondale SI SL crank. I'm thinking of a new bike that comes with the brand new forged SI crank. I assume, but don't know, that the hierarchy of Cannondale cranks are SISL2 > SI SL > new SI. Is this right?
I've read that there are differences in axle length for the new cranks - (109 vs 104)? Does this matter?
My idea, assuming the SI SL crank has the "better" crank arms - lighter, stiffer - is to just move the cranks arms from my old bike to the new one. Is this reasonable/possible?
Thanks,
2009 si sl vs 2014 si cannondale crank
