Which Garmin for my requierment?
Moderator: robbosmans
I went riding this weekend with a guy who's just bought a 510, and I aprticularly liked the elevation readout, similar to below;
I do however strongly dislike the size and form factor, and much prefer my 200.
Is such functionality available on the 500?

It is definately possible to display the profile of the course, although the last time I had a discussion with a member about it, dunno who it was and I don't know who was right or wrong. As far as I know, and please correct me if I am wrong, the profile you see on-screen is the profile based on the position your virtual partner, based on the average speed of that virtual partner. That means that you do not see the profile in real-time. It is possible to alter the average speed of the virtual partner on the Garmin, but only percentage-wise. Kind of hard to explain this in English as a non-native speaker btw
