Sorry had a toddler running havoc while typing..The reason why I wrote "Do not work" was that the chain behaved as when you put a new chain on an worn set of chain rings. The chain ended up riding on the top of the chainring, at the end of a rotation because the spacing seemed slightly off. Maybe my chain rings are just worn out? I do have a 52/38 set with much less km on them, but did not have time to change it, nor fiddle much with anything else (said toddler required attention)..
Well I ordered a set of 50/34 PowerGlide chainrings and will report back when I get them and some more time to fiddle with the setup.

Apart from the chain I think the yaw FD shifts fine with my old Red crank.

Ok - I have no problem admitting my stupidity...
The problem was simply that the powerlink connector link was not locked all the way in.. Those new links require much more force to lock than my old ones.. So I did not realise it until I looked closer at the "jumping chain" - I bet if I had just ridden 5 meters it would have been ok.

Well the new 110BCD rings seem to fit fine.
