There has been some discussion about the power meter versions for SRM and Power2max on the 666 MTB crankset, but any word or testing on the road crank (688) in either power meter or naked livery?
The cranks looks nice, the Q-factor is acceptable and it is fairly light for alu. I also like that it is possible to use this on a wide number of different BB standards.
As this is designed in conjunction with Tune should we assume it is a noodle? Looks beefier than the Smartfoot.

"• 520 grams WITHOUT rings (WITHOUT Bearing-Kit)"
That's not really light is it? The Rotor 3d+ for example is spec'd at 476g (BCD130mm/170mm crank length), is certainly beefy, and you should be able to mount it on a range of BB standards with their adapter BBs.

I do not run ShimaNO...
This crank is incredibly similar to one that is being offered by Tune and also by New Ultimate. I'm not sure who is producing it or who designed it, but there is some cross over between the three companies. Each one has the same crank with some subtle difference. I have the Tune Mtb version and think it's a pretty nice crank. Not the lightest(nor the heaviest.), but looks good and works well. My mtb version complete with bearings, cups, chainring bolts and 3 chainrings comes out at under 700 grams.

Anyone had any more experience of the 688? Thinking about getting the P2M with it as [imho] it looks way better than the Rotor.

I am expecting mine to be delivered soon. So will provide more feedback when it arrives.
I was thinking of cancelling the order when I heard that there will be a new P2M in February, but this will not be for the BOR crank. The new model is only for certain cranks, and the current model will continue to be produced for the others. P2M told me that while there are some user focussed updates (lower profile spider, easier batter change, status LED) there is no change to the fundamental operation of the power unit.
