Thank you for that. That might explain why others have gone back to downtube entry.

Dave,
Thank you for all the info! I find it very cool you post here. Helpful too.

Will we see full specs on the F FRD soon? Still using BB30?

My pleasure. I figure the details will either come from me or Miss Information and I don't trust her.
F FRD will be offered as a frameset only in the USA market, there is a complete bike which I understand will be available in Europe and Japan, not sure of any other global distributors who will offer it from memory. Where are you located? I'll verify.

Full 2014 product launch is coming in time for Eurobike.

Dave, I think you guys have a great product here. Look forward to hearing more before I call it a slam dunk. How lucky will the consumer be to be able to purchase a frame just like this one:

Or will the frameset offerings all be painted version. Hopefully we will see one just like this. I'd be all over it like a fat kid in a donut store. :beerchug:

Now that the gag order seems to be up - a bit more info on Peletons site with models to save Dave some tired fingers. Can't imagine having to do this kind of rollo ut every year!

Can someone explain the stiffness plot? For example, what is the x axis?

Dave,

For the record, I've never thought much of buying a Felt. But after reading your replies, you should know consumers like me really appreciate hearing from guys like you. Makes you feel like curtain is pulled back some and you realize there are real enthusiasts, like us, behind this.

Really refreshing and I've now visited your site for the first time. Just thought I'd let you know.

Time to start saving - 4K seems very well priced for the top of the line FRD!

Hi Dave,

Is the AR FRD frameset only meant for electronic groups? Beautiful frame! As a long time diehard Cervelo frame the AR FRD has got me thinking twice now.

SD, did the new AR take into account having a water bottle (or two) with the design of the frame?

Cool design by Felt to hide the battery in the seat post.

That is the UCI take on what looks like a rubber strip used to fill in the exposed seatpost hole?

Dave,

Like others have said, thank you for being so forthcoming. I do have a couple of follow up questions:

1. What is the weight of the AR1 frame and fork?
2. What BB is the AR using?
3. When do you expect first deliveries to be rolling out, both for the AR1 and FRD versions if they are different?

Just catching onto this thread...

Dave, thanks for coming and sharing, the FRD has major drool factor in my opinion. I think Felt's investments in the past few years, especially in their own construction techniques, are starting to pay some good dividends. I wish all companies would put as much energy and $$$ into their R&D as you guys do.

I love it how the cycling community is always convinced of some conspriacy theory to charge higher prices for new products, ridiculous.

I like the fact that there is a Campy option.
