ROLO sneak peek

It will obviously always be designed within solid engineering parameters. Our 'regular' sub 700g frame (for a 56) has a 200kg rider weight limit so they are solid enough. We have picked up significant rider input and done enough semi static bench testing to verify the subjective feel to be able ro guide the customer through the 'rider tuned' process. Most people will also perfectly happy with one of the three 'standard' lay-ups in each size. Furthermore we will show up and make various lay-up test bikes available in the more obvious locations globally (Palo Alto, LA, Majorca, Paris, BeNeLux, etc.)

Slam your stem.
Hating a 'drivetrain' choice on one bike vs. another is as imbecile as people getting into fist-fights at a motor race that they are not actually racing in Australia over a debate between two car companies. It really is ridiculous.
Me too.

High hanger stiffness ---> good for shifting performance. But what happens if the hanger is impacted or subject to some traumatic event? What are the failure points and repair/replacement paradigms?http://rolobikes.com/the-bike/experience wrote:Carbon drop outs
We manufacture our carbon drop outs using the same materials as the frames. The drive side drop out features an integrated derailleur hanger. By molding the drop out and hanger as one piece, we can ensure much higher stiffness, which means more accurate and consistent shifting, and increased durability. The drop outs are then bonded into the frame.
Its so thin, it'll snap off! If a heavy rear impact occurs, the chainstay could get damaged -as with any carbon frame but we have a repair procedure to replace the hanger or stay if needed .
