That's not an RCA. I guess an R5, or R5ca without cable stops.

This is a one-off RCA specially made for Honda Racing. The upcoming R5 will most look identical to this bike.

Why doesn't the fork have the Nanovate coating (seen between the stem)?

The RCA doesn't have a cable stop on the top tube. And it has two grommets for the downtube cable entry points.

The white makes it hard to see the RCA features. Seattube aero profile and seatstay/seattube juncture.

Also, look at the seattube collar relief slot. It's on the side like on the R5 CA

The slot on the RCA is directly on the back.

The combination of the fork, the cable stops, and the relief slot says it's a R5 CA.
Not a RCA

The sest tube angle is slack, like the R5 CA.
And the downtube looks squoval rather than the Rca's semi aero shape.

It's not an RCA. Squoval 3/RCA doesn't have the harsh creases at the tube junctures like the Honda bike.

Compare the BB junctures.

It's a custom R5CA (not an RCa) apparently with a different layup then stock R5Ca. The write up was featured on Roadbikeaction.com earlier this afternoon but it has since been taken down. EM3

It's definitely not an RCA and I'm pretty sure it's not a one off. Because it says it's number 02. And that there are another 49.

I wonder what's Honda commemorating and why they are spending so much money? Custom layup can't be cheap.

Well Cervelo have produced a steering wheel (at least) for a Le Mans car at their California facility so maybe it was for Honda?

It's all good, a fun detective exercise. That said, I always liked Honda's DH bike. Amazing
