On another note, does anyone have ride experience on the 2014 R3 and the 2014 S3? One of those two will most likely be my next frame. I am leaning towards the S3 for various reasons but the R3 still interests me.

Those weights are pretty close to the Scott Foil 15, frame/fork in similar sizes. Not bad.

BTW, anybody running an 2014 S3 with Di2 and found a way to mount an internal battery? Will it fit into the seat tube? Just not the seatpost? Seems that way..but haven't found much info..thx.

Yes it will fit into the seat tube just fine, the seat post is a no go as it's the same post size used on the S5.
