I've the opportunity to buy a new pair Mavic CC80s at a very attractive price. Would they be aero overkill on a CAAD9? I currently have Campag Khamsins for training and a pair of custom handbuilt PX20mm weighting in at 1050g.
Maximilian.
I'll take some better photos and do its own thread soon.

I have 404s on my Caad 9. I know, it's about 22mm difference, but it works for me.

Visually, it works fine. I think the look is sharp.
Practically... are you heavy enough to ride an 80mm front rim on what's basically a textbook crit frame? That could get awfully squirrelly in a hurry if you aren't a big dude. Never mind crosswinds, I'd be worried that somebody might sneeze while I ride past! But if you're a big Fabian-type, that's a cool setup.

Can't race 'em tomorrow as the glue isn't done and it's going to be very, very wet in London. Next weekend though..!
