These wheels look nice on the outside, but are you still going to say they perform as well as Mavics or Zipps which happen to be smooth and even inside?

That's what all the zipps i've built with look like on the inside. Don't believe everything you hear.

Not the FC rims that I have seen in person. Plus I have been to their factory and seen the wheels made in person. You couldn't be further from the truth.

Must have been a few seasons ago as the FireCrest designs from 2011 onward do not share the same construction methods as Zipp wheels of past, even earlier dimpled ones, especially alloy braking versions.

I'm sure you did see it, just wouldn't be on current generation products.

It is also interesting to see how the frames are getting smoother/lighter inside as time goes on.

A Google search gave me a good start on the reputable companies that are proud and stand behind their craftsmanship.
Some links have many pics of cutaways and you can see why they charge a premium.

Cool! I've got a bunch of cut up frames from both Felt and many of our competitors. Every time I have to cut a functional frame up though God kills a kitten. It is a painful process.
