Since you're asking about the sweet spot, not necessarily a model brand...
I personally think that the 'sweet spot' for price & weight of a 27.2 zero-setback should be around 110g for $100. Then tune it down to sub 100g from there.
That's what I found to be the sweet spot. Easy to find? No, but it is the sweet spot if you keep your eyes peeled and have patience.

Thanks- any thoughts on brands? I do need set back though
Ritchey WCS 2 bolt carbon, mine weighed in at scant 160g for the 300mm....could probably drop to 150 with Ti bolts. Solid finish and consruction.
Here are a couple threads that have covered similar question.

Most seatpost I have come across are around 200 grams - am I loosing it?
I ended up at 150g for weight sweet spot, but found that price was very variable (eventually settling at $100 + a little).
If you went for non-big-branded then you could possibly end up with something like Hylix or Bontrager knock-offs for less $.
I looked seriously at all USE versions but the ? over the clamp system put me off, and Thomson Masterpiece is not all that light against the price.
