I'm deciding between these cranks: Cannondale Si, SRAM Force and Specialized S-Works. These are all older models and I'm interested in these because I can get them all brand new at a great price, and I also want the carbon weave look just for aesthetic reasons. So I wanted to get some feedback on these cranks to see which one is the stiffest, most reliable, lightest and if any have any big issues. The crank will go onto my CAAD10 and I will be using Fibre-lyte rings. The Force has a GXP BB, so I will need an adapter for it. The others should fit fine. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'd prefer not to run SWorks cranks on a Cannondale, and I think the SRAM crank is aesthetically 2nd to the Cannondale.

The Cannondale's are my top choice, but wasn't there a recall for them a few years ago?

i don't remember if there was a recall or not. I do remember that the pedal socket use to pop out of the crank arm. I don't recommend using that particular model

I did not know that. Thanks for the info.

Anyone know the weights of the Force crank arms?

Yes,there was a recall for the CD Si cranks where FSA was blamed to have incorrectly heat treated some of the BB spindles.
PDF file dates back to May 2007 .

The force cranks are aluminum wrapped in carbon. I have a pair. They're not light. My FSA SLK lights are about 150 grams lighter. Sram's bottom bracket system for threaded BB's is a lot better than most though. Yeah, they're heavier, but require zero maintenance and the bearings last forever.

Didn't know that. Wonder if the Specialized are full carbon. Do you have a weight for the Force arms?

To get the S-Works labeling off since it would look silly on a Cannondale.....

If i did decide to remove the label, would the sanding scratch up the carbon?
