Recently the board software has been updated and there are some known bugs/failures:
- Avatars are currently not being displayed
- Tapatalk connection is currently broken

Those bugs will be fixed ASAP (next few days) as they are unfortunately more serious than expected.

If you find more errors please post it here: http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=139062

Chock another up for the Evaders.....I just found a helmet (Lazer O2) that adequately covers my watermelon head.....I am really considering buying 10 so if they ever get discontinued I would be covered for the foreseeable future.

I changed my mind and got one.. Its nicer then I thought it would be.. Not lightweight though. Vents are large.. Plenty of flow.

I got the Evade helmet a couple weeks ago. I've only worn it once during a local lunchtime informal criterium. It seemed fine. I haven't worn it since then, as it's been fairly warm, and I overheat easily. I have been using my normal helmet which is much more ventilated than the Evade. I'll probably only use the Evade during flattish rides with cooler temperatures (due to its increased weight and lack of ventilation over my normal helmet).

I'm waiting on them to be available in New Zealand. I have asked a few online stores in the UK if they ship them overseas as it would save me around $80NZ (RRP in NZ for the helemt is $400) but they are not allowed to ship them outside of the EU apparently.

dereksmalls, you're probably aware that most helmets sold outside of NZ or Australia are not compliant with our more rigorous (apparently) standards.

Australians, beware that your insurer will (may?) turn their backs if your helmet does not have the right sticker.

Spesh and Trek/Bonty have this territorial thing that's a pita + we usually end up paying more

I saw the Evade at Eurobike and I do like the profile much more then the Prevail. Specialized b2b site still says none available until it gets cold now. Wondering where everyone are getting these, demo's?

I got my helmet from my local bike shop in Cupertino, California (San Francisco Bay area). It probably helps that Specialized is a local company close to where I live.

I saw they had them at one of the local shops here in the Mid-Atlantic area, too. Unfortunately, they didn't have the size/color combo I wanted. Strange how a shop would have them but you can't get them off the Specialized website :noidea:

FWIW, I thought the thing looked hideous from the front... at least on my grape. The profile, however, was kind of sharp looking. That's what my 3 year-old told me, anyway.

For those that have bought them, the decals on them can they be peeled off? What colour options did you buy? Can you post photos? It owuld seem that the colours that are coming into NZ to start with are the black with red stripe and the white. I'd prefer the plain black one so if the decals are just stickers you can peel off, I might just do that when they are available here

I got the white which has black Specialized S and S-WORKS stickers... The other stickers on the helmet are grey.. it has alot of tiny grey stickers representing "airflow" out the back vents.. I started to scratch the S on the front and it appears to come off. I will probably remove most of the stickers eventually as well and make my own World Championship version :)
