@LaDolceVita,

I'm considering moving from my Sidi Ergo 3's SP to the Wires, but getting mixed views on sizing. I'm currently in a size 41.5. Fit works as its been what I have used on all versions of Ergos.
For the Wires should I drop to a 41 due to the taller cap? Or would stay at the 41.5's?
Thanks
Paul

I would say that if you have more than enough room at the tip of the shoe, I would go down to the 41. The shoe will not be longer, just that the toe cap will have a little more room around the sides of the toes, letting it come forward more. Since the toe cap on the Ergo 3 was/is very tapered, some had to move up 1/2 a size to accommodate for this. This is not needed on the Wire.

If the Ergo fits like a glove now, I would say get the same size.

Thank you. Still seems like I could go either way on this so will a point to try both sizes just to be sure.

A minor contribution: Spiuk shoes appear to be on the narrow side, and their sizing a bit inconsistent compared to other MFGs.

I asked a rep at an online shop (there is no Spiuk seller in North America) to measure the footbed of a few sizes. I got the reply for a size 43 as follows:
Length = 260mm, width = 80mm (!!!)

My only thoughts on this were in Persian: Eh khodah, khaley koochaloo!!
