An LBS, I just spoke with, said Scott is using a Press-Fit 386.
I am not certain they were sure, however.
Anyone know for certain.
...and if there is a THM compatibility....I want to use the Clavicula.

Great to know.
Is there a Press-Fit 386 vs. a "regular" 386???? (I assume not)
If so, which is Scott using?
The reason I ask is because the Scott website says INT BB (in the frame description) and PF 86 (under "BB set")
Sorry if I sound like novice. I'm not a mechanic so...........
Sorry if this is OT but it applies to the frame, I guess

I think you're getting BB386 and BB86 confused. They are two separate and distinct BB systems.
The Scott will be using BB86. Those are all press-fit.
Your THM Clavicula will be able to fit just use the Press-Fit BB86 bottom bracket.

As a former owner, I recommend against swapping forks on an Addict. It'll mess up the geometry, since the OEM forks have a >1cm taller stack height compared to aftermarket forks. That's partly why won't likely get another Addict again, because it makes the head tube higher than I prefer.

Hopefully one of our customers will order one soon so I can put it on the scale We have had a bunch of the Addict 10 completes with 6800 groupsets, have to say very impressed with both in initial set up and finish.
did you weigh any of those? glad to hear they're making their way out there

addictR1 wrote:@prendrefeu, you mentioned "An owner of a previous Addict can save the money and swap in a THM fork, no?" where to get a THM fork and how much of a weight saving can be had?
Where?

It depends on which THM fork you get, you can save substantially compared to the old fork. But apparently the new Addict fork is already really darn light, so it may not be worth the switch on a the 2014 Addict...especially considering what Mythical aptly pointed out in regards to the change of geometry. If you're really, really, really aiming for the ultimate lightest - then switch to save a few grams.. It will be a costly switch though.

It would be great to see the new Vs old frames tested using some form of analytical method ala Tour. Some may be slightly disappointed with the new weights not decreasing that much, but I can't see how the new frame wouldn't beat the old in almost every possible aspect as it just wouldn't make sense for Scott to release an inferior product after the other was already well proven.
let me throw an old one in the ring, size 54:
the fork lost a few more grams. I was able to cut another 15mm off the steerer.
like i said before, there's the chance to shave another 30-40 grams by converting it to bb30, around 10 grams with new cablestops.
with an old ritchey wcs fork i could save another 30 grams and the headset is still completely stock.
950 grams for the set with headset should be possible.
I'm really curious how much scott saved with the new one, but I think a swap won't be worth it

Some prices for the frame only are starting to surface.

I am suprised there isn't a Team Edition of the Addict.
(like the ones used in the tour)
Their website dosen't show it.... or perhaps it will show up, still. Or they are only using it on the Foil & Solace.
