Previously you had to use the 1 mm spacer when fitting 10 speed SRAM cassettes to Shimano 10 speed bodies. But how about for 11 speed? Do you still need to use a 1 mm spacer?

11 speed cassette won't fit on a 10 speed freehub. You don't need the spacer on an 11 speed freehub when using 11 speed cassettes.

You also never needed a Shimano 10speed (1mm) spacer behind a SRAM 10speed cassette.
On 11speed freehubs, the 1.85mm spacer would have been called a "10speed spacer", if that term was not already taken by Shimano's 1mm spacer...

I know this, I was referring to using it on an 11 speed hub.

Tried it a little yesterday, was tested by 3 friends too. Nice with testbike at work. It feels a bit too tight compared to Shimano and specially Campagnolo. Should have had a little slimmer chain and maybe got some bigger steps in the lever. Not just add one gear.

Will try the bike for real on tuesday or something. Fun as it's the new Cannondale Synapse 2014 :)
