I´ve just ordered a 100 mm Uno 7. Am indecisive if I should order ti bolts or not. Will report the weight when it arrives anyway :)

I got the stem in a week and a half. Not bad for free shipping :)
I weighed it and it came out great at 100 mm and 110 grams.

I picked one up for my daughter's road bike (60 mm) and it came in at 89g. Not bad when you consider the 90 mm stem that came with the bike weighed 246g. Never heard of dropping a quarter of a pound by switching stems before!

I just bought a 100 mm Uno 7, shipping was under two weeks.
Weight with stock bolts is 105 g and 94 g after swapping to ti. I'm impressed.

I've got 2 110mm UNO 7s, one 130mm and just ordered a 120mm last week :)

Would be great if they came in 5mm steps.

Very pleased with this stem. I have it on two bikes.

Could somebody please tell me exactly which replacement ti bolts they ordered from Torontocycles?

I know they are M5x17.5/18 taper head w/washers, but I don't see them on the website.

Thanks!

I bought the Uno 6 in 120mm and weighs about 120g (claimed 114g). Graphics came off in about 30 seconds with acetone. Now a very nice , light black stem

Do they make a 17degree uno longer than 110? I was looking for a 120mm, but couldn't find one?

This I would also like to know. Been searching for the same length / angle. Only 110 to be found so far.

In related news and for reference, my wife's Uno 7 stem in 80mm with stock bolts and 7 deg angle is 98grams.

I have a Uno 6 stem in 120mm but I have decided I need a 110mm for my current bike. I'm confused because besides the 6 and 7, I now see a different 7 that is black with blue graphics. It seem that for a 110 the 6 has the lowest claimed weight 108g

http://www.ebay.com/itm/161658330055?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT

The red 7 is claimed 113g

http://www.ebay.com/itm/291353485253?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT

The blue 7 is cheapest but claimed is 120g

http://www.ebay.com/itm/262096344824?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT

Any thoughts? I'm sure I probably can't tell the difference in weight, stiffness or quality between the three but figured I would still ask for opinions

To clarify - that is the weight with steel bolts? That's pretty good.

Some of these say 7050 and some say 6061

info found:

7050 was basically developed as a direct replacement for 7075 in high strength aluminum applications, with 7050-T73 for 7075-T76 and 7050-T76 for 7075-T6. 7050-T7x is slightly harder than 2024-T8 and quite a bit harder than 2024-T3. If you are forming the difference is important, but for general machining there isn't a real difference. For lathe work, 7050 has a distinct tendancy to form continuous chips that wrap around everything. A good chip breaker is almost a necessity.

The corrosion resistance of 7050-T7x is high, so there is no need for anodize/paint except in the most extreme environments. I have lathe parts made from 7050-T76 that have been in my basement for years without any problems.

and
Aluminium alloy 7050 is an aerospace grade of aluminium combining high strength, stress corrosion cracking resistance and toughness. It is particularly suited for heavy plate applications (3" to 6" thick) due to it's lower quench sensitivity and retention of strength in thicker sections. Aluminium 7050 therefore is the premium choice aerospace aluminium for applications such as fuselage frames, bulkheads and wing skins.

Aluminium 7050 plate is available in two tempers. T7651 (AMS 4201) combines the highest strength with good exfoliation corrosion resistance and average SCC resistance. T7451 (AMS 4050) provides better SCC resistance and excellent exfoliation resistance at slightly lower strength levels. Aircraft Materials can also supply 7050 in round bar with temper T74511 (AMS 4342).

and

Aluminum 6061 is an extremely versatile heat treatable aluminum alloy due to its content of silicon and magnesium. 6061 has a wide range of mechanical and corrosion resistance properties as well as having most of the good qualities of aluminum. 6061 is used in a many applications from aircraft structures, yacht construction, truck bodies, bicycle frames to screw machine parts.

heat treat tensile yield elongation (2%)
Alloy 7050 Bar (AMS 4340) T76511 79ksi 69ksi 7
vs
Alloy 6061 Bar Cold Finished T651 All 42ksi 35ksi 10

so seems 7050 is stronger and tougher than 6061 for a given mass/thickness and thus can be made in thinner walls for similar strength or greater strength
however takes a 30% less energy to elongate?

The instruction sheet for my uno 7 stem says ASA015/AS025, so I presume there are only 2 variants of these stem - either 6061(uno 6) or 7075(uno 7) alloy, the latter should be the lighter of the two.

The blue is just the new graphic of uno 7.
Here's the catalogue, but I can't read it on my phone:
