Hi,

I've got a 2011 BMC Team Machine with a Sram Red 39/53 crankset and 11-26 cassette, which bluntly is too much for my ability and terrain (Cornish lanes and a week in the Alps coming up!).

So I want to put a compact on, and was thinking of either another Red or a Rotor 3D+.

I've seen various weights around. Can someone give me an answer on the likely weight difference between the two?

Also, the price on this looks a bit too good to be true, or am I missing something? Quotes 650g which must be with rings. The crank only quoted weight is 475g so does 175g for the rings seem reasonable?

I'll take my existing crankset off and weigh it if I get time later.

Thanks.

Please, there are many threads (and Madcow's crank reviews) if you search.
