Barrel Adjustment for interal cable routing

Getting a Z5i as a warranty replacement for a Z5. Wondering what the protocol is for barrel adjustment since it's internal cable routing. Is an inline cable adjuster my only option?

Since it is full length housing, yes. I looked at the 2013s before going Di2/2012 Z5Sli
Out of curiosity, what was the failure mode of your Z5 that required replacement?

Cracks in the drive side chain stay.
