After 4 months of trying to get these shoes I'm still as shoeless as Joe Jackson.
Specialized "released" these shoes in Aug of 2012. Coming up on the anniversary, one would think it's possible to purchase them at full retail price.
I'm guessing this is an outsourcing fail. But who knows.
No really, who knows?

And what size/color do you need?

6months worth of sales before you try to buy could mean demand was higher than anticipated and they sold out.....

I'm not, but they are!
Specialized has "special" dealer rules in the US that don't allow online sales outside their dealer area.
If you click the 'Buy' link, it simply shows their business store hours.
It would be a 6436 mile (10,357km) drive to pick them up.
I got my hands on a size 41 (going with the one-size-down convention) but it turns out that their sizes are similar to SIDI.
I'm looking for 42, White/Black. You got 'em, let me know.

Crazy. I got my size 42 white/black from the LBS one week after I walked in and asked for them.

My dealer here told me that he can only get stock from size 42 onwards. Size lower than 42 is very hard to get. He has all colors for size 42.

So many other good shoes out there and also so many better looking shoes!
In my opinion Specialized really missed on the colors. The shiny white/black and white/red are not so cool looking.
The black can be cool under the right rider with the right socks.
They should have the done "prototype" white that many of the euro guys are riding.
I say try some Gaerne Crono G or Shimano R320- both excellent shoes and totally available.

went from 2012 sworks shoes to shimano sh320. better quality similiar fit. try them out.

specialized shoes fit well BUT the durability is lacking. i tried on the 2013 and the fit finish is horrendous for the price they charge..
Current Rides:

ex 2019 S-works SL6

Oh oops sorry I didn't even notice that! My mistake. There's always flebay or spring for a nicer pair of shoes from another brand, Giro empires, new bonts, sidi ergos etc.

i had a pair of s-works from 2009 that are still going today. the only issue is a crash which rubbed them the wrong way. they are extremely durable and i usually ride between 5,000-7,000 miles a year.

i have the new version in size 43 where the older s-works a size 42.5 fit. as for availability, the sized smaller than 42 won't be available until september. i suggest going to another shop or state to find them.

I had been waiting since January for these.
About 2 weeks ago I pulled the trigger on a pair of Shimano R320 in wide.
Could not be happier.
I did have a set of standard with 2013 S-works shoes before this.
Shimano is so much nicer of a shoe and more support- still very light.

I got conformation from Specialized demand has been approximately 3-4 times higher than expected for the new S-Works shoes and due to production times they are having trouble meeting the demand.

Before you jump in your car did you try picking up the phone and talking to them? :noidea:

If you spoke to a human person and said "I'd like to buy these shoes please" I'd be freakin' gobsmacked if they turned around and said they wouldn't post them that far.
