Dura Ace 9000 compatibility

Hi all,
Has anyone tried using 10 speed wheels (i.e Fulcrum 1's) with a Dura Ace 9000 groupset, specifically the cassette? I realise that the DA cassette is 11 speed and has one extra cog on it, therefore theroretically i could just remove 1 cog and it would be compatible with my 10sp wheels?

Also, there is a Fulcrum freehub body available that claims to be compatible with Shimano 9/10/11sp. How is that possible since doesn't the freehub need to be wider to accommodate the wider 11sp cassette?

Thanks in adavnce for your help!

Thanks :) I found a couple of threads but only one person has posted their results regrading removing a cog. I was wondering if anyone else has done it.
