Hansen is going to be releasing these to the public in July apparently.

105 grams... I considered carbon SIDIs to be light at 500 grams.

Shouldn't be too hard to make a pair like this yourself. I've been contemplating giving it a shot once finals are over.... Mostly worried about cleat screws pulling through and landing me in the hospital!

Sidi's are horribly heavy, Specialized SWORKS shoes are far lighter, especially for a mechanical closure.

I was just pointing out that everything is relative.

I'm curious as to how well the shoe vents out heat. Otherwise they at least have cool factor for being all carbon.

seems like they could probably catch some air under the front of the cover flap thing.

We were thinking to make this kind of carbon shell last year, it's easy, carbon fiber+fiberglas

105 gram shoes.. They look like hell, but that is an amazing weight for shoes.

If you ever look at an F1 car up close, you'll discover that many elements of them are quite crudely finished...because finish isn't that important. Performance is important.
As someone else notes, those feet belong to a resident WW (a true WW who mods parts), who is also a pro...on a ProTour team...who just won a stage of the Giro. This is awesome.

Seem like it wasn't that simple to make them, despite appearances.
