Hey I've been lurking here for awhile but finally signed up anyway, I've been looking for a new cockpit for my new seven axiom sl I've always been a sucker for Italian styling so I'm looking into Some cinelli/columbus options. Cinelli has a new Dinamo series out and they're claiming 185 grams for a 42cm bars and they're reasonably priced. I haven't been able to find much information or reviews about them. They have an outward bend in the drops which I really like. So i guess my question is, has anyone had experience with these bars or new cinelli stuff? and at 185 grams will they hold up in the long run? Thanks in advance.

Here's a link to the bars:

Yup, the white and the black one are listed at 230g. I wouldn't be surprised if they're still heavier, especially the white one. The Neos to the left of them is carbon and 185g (listed).

These bars are listed all over the web at 185g. Cinelli USA site also shows 185g.

Does anyone have one ??

I just e-mailed them and asked for more info.

Edit: Chris from Cinelli USA returned my e-mail from this morning and said that the alloy Dinamo weigh 230g, the carbon bars weight 185g.

Looked for em', found em'. List price, Euros, is more than I paid for my entire bike including air in the tires.

Help looking for light Inexpensive bars.

Probably going to go with Nashbar - 245g for $19.99 US plus shipping. Heck, the Cinelli are 230g.

How may these aluminum bars be safely tuned ? I have thought of trimming the ends and maybe, maybe, sanding - thinning the farthest drop arms.

Any recommendations ? Thanks

Edit: Just looked and saw the other post:
